Les Forts de Latour, a Médoc Grand Cru Classé wine, was first labeled in 1966 and has been continuously developed. Produced with the same care as the Grand Vin, it uses 50-60% new barrels in the maturing stage. The blend can vary from year to year, but always includes a higher proportion of Merlot (25-30%) compared to the Grand Vin.
