The Garcin family has revived several estates, including Haut-Bergey, Branon, Clos l'Eglise, and Barde-Haut. The 2011 Haut-Bergey, made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, has notes of charcoal embers, tobacco leaf, black currants, cherries, spice, and earth. It should age for 10-15 years. Chateau Haut Bergey, made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, takes 6-8 years to mature. It pairs well with classic red meat dishes, Asian dishes, fish courses, and cheese.
