Tasting Notes : 

The wine is dry, medium-bodied, and balanced, with flavors of dark fruit, including plum and blackberry, along with hints of licorice and tobacco. The tannins are firm yet supple, giving the wine a smooth and elegant texture. The acidity is fresh and lively, providing a long and persistent finish.

Food paring : 

Red meat dishes, aged cheeses, and pasta with rich sauces.

Tasting Notes : 

The palate is mineral, balanced, fruity and a bit suave. In the mouth it expresses notes of blueberry and strawberry combined with a touch of blackberry and raspberry and a few notes of sweet spices (in the background), a small woody note and a slight hint of coffee on the finish. Tannins are fine and numerous.

This wine presents deep ruby-red colour with garnet hue. the first nose is fruity with notes of raspberry and blackberry. With swirling, this wine develops fine aromas of cooked fruits, slightly jammy and underlined by vanilla. The attack is supple, to become more firm on the mid-palate. Tannins are delicate and supported by a touch of acidity, giving a nice freshness to the wine. The finish is quite long and very elegant.

The 2015 Goulee was bottled in April 2018. Plenty of black fruit, hints of bell pepper and tobacco tucked in just underneath. It is not complex, perhaps even a little rustic, but in a positive sense of the word. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, grippy tannin. This feels lightly peppered in the mouth with that sprinkling of powdered dark chocolate from oak. Nicely structured with plenty of freshness on the finish.
