CLASE AZUL Mezcal Durango
The mezcal's decanter, inspired by the raw elegance of black clay, showcases a hand-carved design by Mazahua community artisans. Its vibrant cap is the handiwork of Wixárika artisans, who employ beeswax, resin, and colorful beads, enhancing its cultural significance. A three-day, slow-roasting process involving firewood, volcanic rocks, and hand-dug pits imbues the spirit with its characteristic smoky profile.
With a full body and a complex palette, Clase Azul Mezcal Durango presents citric and herbal aromas, alongside notes of green olive, cooked agave, and clove. The palate is treated to sweet nuances of peanut and unrefined brown sugar, layered with smoked wood and chocolate, finished with a touch of ripe fruit.
