Chateau Senejac, Haut Medoc 2015

Tasting Notes:

The 2015 Réserve de la Comtesse is a superb second wine. Time in barrel and egg white fining have softened some of the tannins the 2015 showed as a barrel sample, but the fruit intensity, pedigree and class of the estate are all in the glass. Black cherry graphite, smoke and licorice are some of the many notes that infuse this potent, almost shockingly virile Comtesse.

Tasting Notes:

This is a classic, elegant wine with a clear, well-designed structure and a long, fresh finish. It shows a lot of black fruits, licorice, violet and wisteria. On the palate, a nice roundness, smooth, charming taste, quite unctuous and fruity.

Deep in color, with cedar wood, spice, blackberry and gravel scents, this medium/full bodied, tannic, masculine wine requires time before the ample tannins soften and everything comes together.

This Pomerol wine offers great aromatic complexity, with notes of red and black berries, as well as a nice touch of terroir that can be interpreted as "mineral". This is a refined wine but with a gorgeous weight and a substance that is perfectly balanced. The vintage effect brings to the glass this certain freshness of 2010 Pomerol, a fresh energy that helps extend the weight of this wine into a particularly long finish. These characteristics, along with its great ageing potential, make this vintage one of the most successful in the modern history of Château Nénin. A superb Pomerol.

Tasting Notes:

This grand Pauillac property delivers awesome flavours in 2015. You can't help but enjoy this magnificently ripe, sturdy, smoky claret. It has the cedary Pauillac characteristic. The tannins are pleasingly silky, and there is tremendous balance. Creamy blackberries and a precise shape, lead to a fruit-dominant finish hat tingles in the mouth. It needs some bottle age, but it follows the tradition of great wine from this leading estate. It's rich and powerful, but elegant and sweet.

Layered and juicy 2015 with currants, light chocolate and cedar character. It’s full-bodied, round-textured and very pretty. Extremely long and flavorful. So friendly and bright.
